Working in harmony with Solihull MBC and other Local Authorities we fully understand the restrictions of Tree Preservation Orders (TPO's) and Conservation Areas. We work all the time in the community. We want to protect our environment for the future. So unlike other 'fly-by' businesses, to protect both you and us, we will ask the local planning team to check for any work restrictions. (We can advise and submit planning applications for tree or hedge work if needed.) |

Our lead tree surgeon has won competitions and has tackled everything from the largest and tallest through to the simplest and most dangerous of situations! So we have confidence in the work we do.
Further, when needed, we call upon a former Moreton Morell tutor and the college connections give us access to all the necessary skills.

HEDGE WORKSolihull MBC's motto is 'Urbs in Rure'. The urban area is truly 'green and rural' and a major factor is the degree of hedging around properties.
Hedging requires maintenance typically twice a year. The springtime is the major time to stall growth and the autumn and winter periods are the time to cut back what has emerged during summer. This stops the hedges encroaching and taking up more and more of your precious garden! Where conifers are used for hedging, missing a maintenance activity allows the hedge to grow further into both yours and your neighbours property! Consequently you lose more and more of your garden to the hedge! We never cut conifer hedging right back (unless explicitly requested) as new growth won't re-appear the following spring time and the hedges never recover. On the other hand, native hedges (hawthorn, blackthorn etc) can recover from a severe cut back and similarly, laurel hedges can withstand some harsh treatment. Laurel hedges can quickly get out of hand and become particularly invasive so do keep your eye on those. So, while the hedges grow almost imperceptibly over the years, it really does make sense to have them regularly managed and trimmed back before they get out out of hand.

However, we'll always try and minimise the distress that's often caused when unforeseen events arise. Just a call to us and we'll take the problem on board. We'll quickly form a team that's needed to minimise the problem bringing in crane hire if necessary. |
